Gameday Men’s Health Sets the Safety Standard as New Federal Policy Expands Peptide Access

Peptides, prescribed the right way: licensed clinicians, licensed pharmacies, no research chemicals

CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Gameday Men’s Health, the leader in men’s health and wellness with more than 430 clinics across the US and Canada offering testosterone therapy, sexual performance treatment, peptide and vitamin therapy, medical weight loss, hair restoration and performance recovery, is setting the safety standard for peptide therapy as a new federal policy expands access. Under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s new interim policy, state-licensed compounding pharmacies can now prepare certain peptides with a prescription. Gameday is bringing that access to patients the right way: medical evaluation first, licensed clinicians, licensed pharmacies and ongoing care.

Gameday Men's Health is the nation's fastest-growing network of men's health clinics, dedicated to providing medically guided solutions for men's hormone optimization and wellness.

Many men have been buying peptides online as “research chemicals,” often made overseas, with no prescription and no medical oversight. The new policy moves access into licensed medical care.

“Men have been buying peptides from websites that sell them as research chemicals, with no idea what’s actually in the vial,” said Dr. Haleem Mohammed, Chief Medical Officer of Gameday Men’s Health. “This policy gives them a safer option. Our job is to make sure every prescription starts with a real medical evaluation and comes from a licensed pharmacy.”

The Gameday standard

  • Medical evaluation first. A consultation, health history review and lab work if necessary before any prescription.
  • Licensed clinicians decide. Independent licensed clinicians make every prescribing decision.
  • Licensed US pharmacies only. State-licensed US compounding pharmacies using pharmaceutical-grade ingredients.
  • Ongoing support. Follow-up visits, lab monitoring and a clinician to call about side effects.

The risks of unsafe sources

Peptides bought outside of licensed medical care can come with serious risks:

  • “Research use only” or “not for human consumption” vials with unknown purity and dose
  • Contamination and counterfeit products
  • No screening for who should not take them
  • No one watching for side effects, and no recourse when something goes wrong

Patients often ask about peptides for recovery, healing and healthy aging. Research on many of these peptides is still early, which is exactly why clinician oversight matters.

“Men are already looking for ways to take better care of themselves, and many are turning to peptides. Our job is to make sure there’s a safe, responsible way to do that,” said Evan Miller, CEO of Gameday Men’s Health. “The Gameday standard doesn’t change: evaluation first, licensed clinicians, licensed pharmacies, ongoing care. With more than 430 locations, we can bring that standard to men across the country.”

Gameday appreciates the work by HHS and FDA to move peptide access into licensed, regulated care.

Availability

Peptide therapy is available at 430 Gameday locations across the United States, subject to state law and pharmacy availability. A medical consultation is required, and not every patient will be a candidate. To find a location, visit https://gamedaymenshealth.com/.

Compounded medications are not FDA approved. FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness or quality. Treatment requires a medical evaluation and is prescribed only when appropriate by an independent licensed clinician.
