LOS ANGELES, Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) hosted the third annual 2026 K-Content Original Pitching Showcase on October 22 at the Korea Center in Los Angeles, bringing together Korean content companies and U.S. entertainment professionals to introduce original Korean IP and explore opportunities for international collaboration. KOCCA also held the Korea-U.S. Writers Exchange on October 20 and arranged a meeting with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) representatives as part of its broader industry outreach.
With a focus on expanding opportunities for Korean IP in the U.S. market, the showcase connected Korean companies with potential creative and business partners. It drew about 70 attendees, including writers, producers, and other entertainment industry professionals, providing a setting to explore how Korean projects could reach new audiences through adaptation and joint development.
Companies participating in the showcase included BIG OCEAN ENM, SBS International, MBC America, Another Story, Imaginus, A STORY, SIDUS, EPICHOLDINGS, Jaedam, and ARIART. Through project presentations and Q&A sessions, the companies introduced the stories and creative concepts behind their IP.
One-on-one business meetings followed, giving Korean companies and U.S. professionals time to discuss individual projects in greater detail, explore possible directions for collaboration, and identify areas of mutual interest. The combination of open pitches and focused one-on-one meetings was intended to create a clearer path from initial project exposure to more practical discussions about adaptation, co-development, and potential business partnerships.
Held separately, the Korea-U.S. Writers Exchange explored “Korean Storytelling and Its Global Appeal.” American writers Lana Cho (American Born Chinese) and Kyle Jarrow (Star Trek: Discovery) joined Korean writers Sang-ho Oh (Taxi Driver) and Yoo-dam Shin (Marry My Husband) for a conversation moderated by Hyejin Lee of the University of Southern California (USC). The discussion offered perspectives on how stories are developed in different creative and production environments and what contributes to the global resonance of Korean storytelling.
The 2026 events reflected KOCCA’s continued focus on supporting the international growth of Korean content and strengthening collaboration between Korean and U.S. entertainment communities. By connecting Korean IP holders with industry professionals and encouraging dialogue among writers, the events provided a foundation for future creative and business partnerships across borders.
