Medical education and communications agency recognized for measurable healthcare professional (HCP) education, including a multicity series of dinner programs tailored to psychiatric provider audiences
CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Arbor Scientia Group (ASG), a global medical education and communications agency for pharmaceutical and life sciences companies, has been named a 2026 BASA Awards® winner in the Education and Training category under the Best Small Business track as part of the annual Best of America Small Business Awards competition. The win follows ASG’s 2025 BASA Award for Best in Class – Outstanding Business of the Year, marking the company’s second consecutive BASA Awards® honor.
The BASA Awards® recognize and celebrate outstanding small businesses and entrepreneurs. This year, businesses and entrepreneurs across a wide range of industries submitted nominations in six key tracks: Best Small Business, Best Startup, Best Entrepreneur, Best in Class, Best in Tech, and Best Campaign.
ASG was recognized as a winner in the Education and Training category under the Best Small Business track. “Being named a BASA Awards® winner two years in a row shows what a small, focused team can do for the way healthcare professionals learn,” said Richard Davis, CEO of ASG. “Clinicians are asked to absorb an enormous volume of new science, and they deserve education built on how adults actually learn. Our approach, using the science of communication for the communication of science, turns complex clinical data into knowledge healthcare providers remember and apply with their patients. This honor belongs to our PhD scientists, creatives, and account teams and to the medical affairs, marketing, and sales partners who trust us with their most important programs.”
Measurable HCP education
This spring, ASG partnered with a major pharmaceutical company to build a series of interactive educational dinner programs, bringing tailored education to HCPs in their local communities.
Each event paired expert-led presentations with a real-time integrated feedback system. Program attendees completed pre- and post-program confidence assessments, knowledge checks, clinical decision-making exercises, and live polling, followed by moderated peer discussion. The result was a scalable HCP engagement model that measured learning outcomes in real time and prepared clinicians for more informed treatment conversations in their own practices. HCPs left each program with valuable, evidence-based information they could implement right away, with the ultimate goal of improving patients’ lives.
One group, three specialized brands
ASG brings together Arbor Scientia, Metis Medical Media, and Sirona Medical Education. The group partners with and supports Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Sales teams from preclinical stages through post-launch. ASG’s leadership stays hands-on: CEO Richard Davis and COO Darius Shayegan work directly in the business and provide strategic insights to many of the company’s clients across every phase of a product’s life cycle, from early pipeline planning and launch readiness to long-term brand growth. ASG’s Content team of PhD-trained scientists shapes scientific narratives for accuracy and retention. Its Creative team produces video, 3D medical animation, medical games, and eLearning modules. Its Account Services team keeps programs on time and on budget.
The winners of the BASA Awards® were selected through a rigorous process involving two stages of judging, followed by a public vote. A panel of industry experts and experienced small business owners carefully evaluated each entry, ensuring a fair, transparent, and impartial selection process based on merit. “The 2026 Best of America Small Business Awards have once again highlighted the extraordinary talent, ambition, and determination of small businesses across the country. Building a successful business requires resilience, commitment, and the ability to navigate constant challenges, and this year’s winners have demonstrated these qualities through their outstanding achievements. We are delighted to recognize their hard work and celebrate the impact they continue to make in their respective industries,” said Anna Stella, President of BASA Awards®. “My congratulations go to all the winning businesses, entrepreneurs, and the teams behind their success, whose dedication and hard work have made these achievements possible.” Details about the BASA Awards and the full list of 2026 winners can be found at https://www.basawards.com/pages/2026-basa-awards-c2-ae-winners
