A Year After the Protein Lead Report, Puori’s Customers Are Still Checking the Batch Results

U.S. visits to Puori’s whey protein test-results page rose 142% in the month of the findings and have stayed about a quarter higher since

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Puori, a natural supplement company known for clean, transparent products, today released a year of data on how its customers responded to the October 2025 Consumer Reports investigation into lead in protein powders. In the month the report was published, U.S. visits to the test-results page for Puori’s whey protein (PW1) rose 142% on September 2025, while pages for its non-protein products were flat or rose modestly.

The attention has lasted: from November 2025 through August 2026, monthly U.S. visits to the page averaged 23% above the level of July through September 2025, and among Puori’s U.S. customers surveyed in the second quarter of 2026, 81% said published third-party test results and QR codes were a key or supporting reason they bought or rebought.

Consumer Reports reported in October 2025 that more than two-thirds of the 23 protein products it tested exceeded California’s Proposition 65 limit for lead; in June 2026 the Texas Attorney General opened an investigation into heavy metals in protein powders.

“When the report came out, people went to the page with the batch results and read the report for the bag in their hands, which is why the QR code on the label was created. We would rather be judged on individual batch data than on claims. Since 2019, The Clean Label Project has published all our batch results and we wish more brands would do the same,” said Oliver Amdrup-Chamby, founder and CEO of Puori.

Every batch of Puori PW1 Protein is third-party tested by the Clean Label Project against more than 200 contaminants, including heavy metals, pesticides and BPA, and Puori does not release a batch for sale before the report is published. Full figures and methodology are published at https://puori.com/blogs/puorilife/customers-use-batch-test-results-2026.

Puori PW1 is available at www.puori.com and Amazon.
