SEOUL, South Korea and INNSBRUCK, Austria, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Premium outdoor brand BLACKYAK, led by Chairman Kang Tae-sun, has unveiled “INVISIBLE WHITE,” its 2026 brand campaign. The campaign honors those who live close to nature and are the first to brave fierce snowstorms when someone is in danger. It tells the story of mountain rescuers who work tirelessly to save lives on snowbound peaks in whiteout conditions.

BLACKYAK portrays mountain rescuers as the “Ghosts of the White Mountain” appearing when climbers are in danger, bringing them to safety, and then disappearing back into the snow-covered mountains. By focusing on individuals who remain prepared for accidents that strike without warning and step forward without hesitation when help is needed, the campaign honors the “unsung heroes” who dedicate themselves to the safety of others. It also emphasizes the importance of technical outdoor gear that shields the body from harsh conditions, including strong winds, heavy snow, and sudden temperature drops, while supporting stable movement in demanding environments.
The campaign film centers on Hannah Quatember, an active mountain rescuer in Austria. Opening with sweeping shots of Hannah carving across vast snowfields, the film vividly captures the urgency of search operations and helicopter rescues. In one standout scene, Hannah emerges through deep snow in a whiteout that turns the entire field of view white. Seen through BLACKYAK’s own lens, these moments reveal the deep sense of duty that drives mountain rescuers to protect lives without hesitation, even in the most extreme natural environments.
BLACKYAK has named Hannah a brand ambassador, equipping her with high-performance technical gear designed to help her carry out missions more safely amid unpredictable weather. In the film, Hannah and her fellow rescuers wear BLACKYAK gear as they carry out rescues in fierce snow and wind, their dynamic movements clearly demonstrating the functionality and performance that extreme environments demand.
The film also turns its attention to Hannah’s everyday life, which is deeply intertwined with nature. Rather than portraying mountain rescuers solely as dramatic heroes, the campaign presents an authentic portrait of an individual who shares a deep bond with nature while quietly fulfilling her role, revealing the inner strength rooted in that way of life. In doing so, the film naturally conveys BLACKYAK’s core philosophy: nature is not something to conquer or overcome, but something to respect and coexist with.
“With this campaign, we wanted to explore the meaning of the unsung heroes BLACKYAK has consistently spotlighted, as well as the importance of respecting nature. At the same time, we aimed to showcase our outdoor heritage, built through the continuous development of high-performance products that keep mountaineers safe in the field,” a BLACKYAK representative said. “We will continue to communicate BLACKYAK’s unique brand philosophy through the authentic stories of people who live closest to nature.”
The campaign marks the third installment in BLACKYAK’s “UNSUNG HERO” series, which the brand has been rolling out since early this year. In March, its global campaign, “THIS IS HIMALAYAN,” highlighted icefall doctors, Sherpas, and alpinists who work behind the scenes to enable safer outdoor activities for everyone. This was followed by the summer campaign, “STILL BLUE,” which redefined Korea’s haenyeo (female free divers who have long protected the sea while living in harmony with nature) as the “Sherpas of the Sea.”
By consistently sharing the authentic stories of those who live in harmony with nature, BLACKYAK further reinforces its distinctive brand identity and its founding Himalayan Original spirit.
