Caracal Products & Services to Co-Sponsor Inaugural NYC Collegiate Military Boxing Classic, ‘Fight to Educate’

Event on Nov. 14 will raise funds for the nation’s six military academies and colleges

NEW YORK, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Caracal Products & Services, a leader in the health care solutions, recycling services, and distribution space, is pleased to co-sponsor a sporting event that will bring together elite boxing teams from the nation’s leading military academies and colleges. Taking place on Nov. 14, 2026 at The Léman Ballroom in New York, the inaugural NYC Collegiate Military Boxing Classic, ‘Fight to Educate,’ will raise funds to support athletic programs at the schools.

NYC Collegiate Military Boxing Classic, ‘Fight to Educate’

“As a VMI alumnus, I know firsthand what these programs give young people: discipline that sticks with you long after you leave the ring,” said Charles “Chuck” Ellis, President & Chairman of the Board of Caracal Academy and board sponsor for the event. “Nothing builds that discipline faster than two athletes in a ring pushing each other to be better. We can’t wait to bring together some of the most talented athletes in collegiate sports for a night to raise real money for these vital programs.”

The evening will feature 12 matched bouts, special guest appearances by boxing legends Ray Mercer and Micky Ward, a VIP reception, and opportunities for alumni, supporters, and sponsors to meet and socialize. Participating schools include:

  • The Citadel
  • United States Air Force Academy
  • United States Coast Guard Academy
  • United States Military Academy (West Point)
  • United States Naval Academy
  • Virginia Military Institute

“I spent my fair share of time in the VMI boxing club ring, so I know exactly what these cadets are signing up for,” said Caracal President and CEO Don Roberts. “Collegiate boxing forces you to show up, take a hit, and get back up, alongside teammates who are doing the same. The athletes who internalize those lessons grow into the employees who show up, pull their weight, and don’t quit when things get hard. That’s exactly the kind of talent we want to cultivate, and exactly why we’re proud to co-sponsor this event.”

The NYC Collegiate Military Boxing Classic will take place on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. at The Léman Ballroom, 41 Broad Street, New York, NY 10004. Get your tickets now.
