Holdun Family Office (Bahamas) Limited Confirms the Conclusion of its Licensed Wealth Management Business

Company confirms it will not oppose an orderly conclusion under the supervision of the Court, and is cooperating fully with the liquidators

NASSAU, Bahamas, Sept. 9, 2026 /CNW/ — Holdun Family Office (Bahamas) Limited (the “Company”) today confirms that it is concluding its licensed wealth management business in The Bahamas. What is being wound up is a licensed Bahamian company holding a regulated licence that is no longer needed. The decision to leave that business was the Company’s own. It was taken on a commercial assessment and communicated to the Securities Commission of The Bahamas earlier this year, in advance of any regulatory step.

The licensed entity held a registration permitting it to carry on wealth management business for clients in and from The Bahamas. Three Bahamian funds were connected with it, being Holdun Income Fund Ltd., Holdun Innovation and Technology Fund Ltd. and Holdun Opportunity Fund Ltd. Each was a separate legal entity with its own board of directors and its own administrator, licensed and regulated by the Commission. All three are now in liquidation. The Company is cooperating fully with the liquidators, has done so throughout, and will continue to do so for as long as it is required.

The Company is not seeking to continue the licensed business and it is not standing in the way of the Commission’s petition. It does not oppose the making of a winding up order, nor does it oppose the appointment of the liquidators the Commission has proposed, and its position will be recorded with the Court. That is consistent with the decision the Company itself took and communicated months ago.

The Company and the Commission agree on the destination. Where the Company parts company with the Commission is on a number of the factual allegations advanced in support of the petition.

The Company denies the allegations. There was no fraud and there was no dishonesty, by the Company, by its Chief Executive or by anyone acting for the Company. Any suggestion otherwise is rejected without qualification and without reservation.

The Company will answer the allegations in full, before the Court, in the proper form and on the evidence. That is where they belong and that is where they will be met. The Company will not argue them in the press, as that would not be fair to the process, to the Court or to the Commission. It asks only that any report make it crystal clear that these remain untested allegations at this stage, that the Company challenges them, and that no court of law has determined any of them.

The Company’s immediate objective is a clean and orderly conclusion of the licensed business under the supervision of the Court, with the liquidators given every cooperation they ask for. Beyond that, the Company does not propose to discuss its plans in the press.

Brendan Dunn, Chief Executive Officer of Holdun Family Office (Bahamas) Limited, said:

Leaving the licensed business was our own decision, taken well before any of this began, and we are not standing in the way of an orderly conclusion. Our primary concern is that our clients are properly looked after and that the people who worked with us are treated fairly.
