This visit marks a significant milestone in the multi-year collaboration between ODP, the Department of Defense (DoD), with the Office of Naval Research, and HHS’s Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), focused on reshoring America’s pharmaceutical manufacturing infrastructure. As the U.S. continues to confront persistent drug shortages and supply chain disruptions, stemming predominantly from quality and reliability issues of foreign manufacturers, ODP’s distributed manufacturing model offers a resilient, scalable, and rapid-response solution to deliver vital medications when and where they are needed.
