The American-made, all-electric RV company expands its vehicle lineup with two new models, the AE.1 Atmos and AE.1 Panos
BROOMFIELD, Colo., Aug. 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Lightship®, America’s first all-electric recreational vehicle (RV) manufacturer, today announced it has begun production of the AE.1™ Cosmos Edition and introduced two new trim offerings for its flagship all-electric travel trailer: the AE.1 Atmos and AE.1 Panos. Designed and manufactured in the United States, out of the company’s Broomfield, Colorado facility, the AE.1 offers a completely new way to explore the outdoors.
Since its debut, the AE.1 Cosmos Edition has seen strong demand from travelers eager to experience this limited release. Now officially sold out, production is underway, and Lightship is on track to begin deliveries to customers by the end of summer 2025.
“The Cosmos Edition proved that the market is hungry for electric RVs that don’t compromise on performance or design,” said Toby Kraus, Lightship Co-Founder and CEO. “Now we’re opening those doors wider. Atmos and Panos bring our vision of sustainable adventure to more families and adventurers, regardless of their camping style.”
Building on this momentum, the AE.1 lineup expands with the Atmos and Panos trailers, each tailored to meet different traveler needs with distinct features and price points.
Each model is powered by Lightship’s proprietary TrekDrive™ system, an intelligent propulsion technology that can double the range or mpg of the tow vehicle – for an EV or gas-powered auto, respectively. Operating independently, it senses acceleration, braking, and cornering forces, then adjusts in real time for smooth, synchronized support.
This breakthrough in towing technology sets the stage for the expanded AE.1 lineup, now available in three distinct trims built on Lightship’s Aero-Electric design to deliver efficient, all-electric travel. For those seeking improved range or fuel efficiency, off-grid capabilities, or a little bit of both, each model helps unlock new ways to explore.
