FRANKLIN, Mass., Aug. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — As the curtain rises on a new academic year, Dean College’s performing arts programs are stepping into the spotlight with renewed energy and a box office lineup that promises to captivate audiences.
This year also marks a leadership milestone with the appointment of Stephen Ursprung as dean of the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance and the School of the Arts. A longtime faculty member, Ursprung brings to the role a deep commitment to student-centered learning, professional preparation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Long respected for its theatre and dance training, Dean continues to offer students a strong foundation in performance while engaging the local community through a diverse schedule of productions. The 2025–2026 season includes a compelling mix of plays, musicals, and dance performances:

Regularly priced tickets range from $12 to $22 per show. Full-season ticket packages offer a 25 percent discount off the regular single-ticket prices. The Full Season Package (eight performances) is $132 for the general public and $72 for senior citizens and non-Dean students. All shows for Dean students are $5.
The Theatre Series Package (four performances – “The Wolves,” “Cabaret,” “Much Ado About Nothing,” and “The Prom”) is $66 for the general public and $36 for senior citizens and non-Dean students.
The Dance Series Package (four performances – “Fall Dance Concert,” “Faculty Dance Works,” “Choreographers’ Concert,” and “Dance Company”) is $66 for the general public and $36 for senior citizens and non-Dean students.
Ticket packages are now available online at www.dean.edu/performance. Individual show tickets will be available beginning September 1.
