Expanding to a purpose-built facility designed to better support students with autism and behavioral needs in Indiana County — Open House and Ribbon Cutting scheduled for July 30
INDIANA, Pa., July 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — New Story Schools is excited to announce plans to relocate its Indiana, Pennsylvania campus to a newly renovated, purpose-built facility in Blairsville for the 2025–2026 school year. New Story Schools has provided countless students with autism spectrum disorder (autism), emotional, and behavior support needs over the past 22 years, and is thrilled to expand to a location that can provide more critical supports to students in Indiana County.
The new campus, located at 486 Cornell Rd, Blairsville, PA 15717, will replace the current location at 334 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA 15701 and includes numerous enhancements on the three and a half acres. Specifically:
- 11 classrooms
- Two indoor gymnasiums
- Active Sensory Gym
- Apartment Sensory Room
- STEAM Lab
- Ample space for outdoor activities
- Dramatic Play area
- A layout tailored to meet the unique needs of New Story Schools students
To celebrate the upcoming move, New Story Schools will host an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony open to district partners on Wednesday, July 30 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the new Blairsville school. District representatives are invited to attend and tour the renovated facility, learn more about the programs and services offered, and meet members of the school’s dedicated staff. This event marks an exciting milestone and is an opportunity to showcase the enhanced learning environment being created for students. Later that evening, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., New Story Schools will host a second Open House for families and community members. The evening event will feature food, family-friendly activities, a basket raffle, and additional opportunities to explore the new space.
